Excerpt from The Rig-Veda Mantras in the Grhya Sūtras, Vol. 1
The following essay on The rig-veda Mantras in the Grhya S i tr a s, which was completed in the Spring of 1890, was presented to the Johns Hopkins University as a Dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. Immediate publication was delayed because I hoped to make a deeper study of the questions involved, and to present results more worthy of the subject. For one reason and another I delayed the publication of the essay even past.
